I don't think I did this comic too well but I had to put one out.

Well Sonic Unleashed looks really promising, but it's the 360 and PS3 version that I really want. The Wii version is meh but its the others that gives me that old Dreamcast feel. GO SONIC TEAM! Now the Wii-exclusive Sonic game is worth taking a look at as long as it's not the same Sonic and the Secret Rings gameplay. Nothing like playing a car game that you can't properly reverse to lower your hope for a franchise that you hold near and dear to your heart.

Now for Dark Knight. FREAKING AWESOME! ALL MY HOPES AND EXPECTATIONS WERE MET AND THEN SOME!

Ok, so I said that I would put some t-shirt designs on cafepress but me being broke I can only put up one dark t-shirt because it's a freebie account. Sucks for me...

Now speaking of cafepress merchandise and webcomics, has anybody seen this? After watching it, and reading the comments you learn a lot of stuff that happened to (read them) 8^U. I checked his website and he started to do these mini comics (I guess Applegeeks and Fanboy does these too, I mean what gives?) and to be honest they're funnier than the "canon" comics.

As for games, Chrono Trigger is coming to the DS and I'll probably get it because since I was a SEGA fanboy, I never got to play it and missed out on what is known to many to be the greatest Square game ever. But like I said in my other post about RPG, I can't keep my attention on them for so long. Right now the game that I'm playing is Golden Sun, because I never finished it. Sure hope my attention isn't drawn away...I still need to finish those final fantasies...damn

One really big news here is that I've been trying to get the Gamer-Geek Paradox some more spotlight and I've been thinking about moving the comics or hosting them at the same on a web comic hosting site. For right now though the comics can only be seen here and the photobucket archive, at least for now. Also around this week I'm gonna open a store at cafepress.com. I mean I already did but there isn't any merchandise yet, but there will be!

Anyways, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG! Damn, every time I look at the sonic unleashed trailer it gets me so excited about it. The 2006 game really sucked ass so I hope they don't screw this one up. Sega has only shown the "daytime" gameplay but not wolfy sonic's gameplay, so that might be the weakest part of the game. Who knows?

Yeah, well...yeah.

So Apple released this service called mobile me which is supposed to replace their .mac service. It looks really well and the price is the same as a .mac subscription. I'm actually happy with the sync feature that updates your computer, iphone(if you have ONE hahahaha...oh i made myself feel bad) or ipod touch. Good idea if you have it, if not well then not worth your time now is it? To answer the question, no I don't have an ipod touch, iphone, or mac so I won't be getting it. BUT DON'T LET THAT STOP YOU GUYS!

Now for you fellow Pokemon fans out there, Gamestop has a promotion to get Deoxys in your Pkmn Diamond or Pearl. It was for two weekends so if you haven't gotten it in this one, go get it the next. It's level 50 and can actually change to it's other forms (you get him in his normal form) once you go to the meteorites in Veilstone City.

No Speed Racer, NO!

Really late on this one but I hope the massage is clear (I really doubt that but that's what the blog is for)

Now Prince Caspian and Iron Man both did really well at the box office (as the comic shows) however Speed Racer failed to even reach 2nd. It was beaten by the Ashton-Cameron flick What Happens in Vegas, which really sucks if you think of how big budgeted Speed Racer is.

Speed Racer should have been released in the holiday season since the trailer and screen shots give it that sort of feeling, not like the others (well maybe Caspian but Speed Racer, definitely). Competing against a lot of A+ movies this summer is hard. With all the hype it was actually surprising for a film like Speed Racer to do badly in the box office. It really has little chance of getting that top spot because of other big movies like Dark Knight, Wall E, etc. It might make it big in the DVD sales but who knows right?

Now for some video game talk, SONIC UNLEASHED LOOKS AWESOME!!!! Will get it. Sonic Chronicles maybe but when I play an RPG it's difficult for it to keep my attention on it (still haven't passed FF3 and XII). Metal Gear Solid 4 GOP, is the reason that I want a ps3, that and I want to see blue ray movies.

I just realized that the comic took ten days to be posted up. Ten days! I'm amazed at myself, seriously I thought I was gonna give up and not finish it. Behind the Paradox will be updated along with this blog so that I can talk about the aftermath and how it was and what will I do later in the next installment.

Given the topic of the comic, for those of you who may not know the series is being remade into separate films. The story will be the same with only a few slight differences. They might put something big that will change the story a little, but the overall plot will be the same. The resolution, though might be completely different. The series itself is critically acclaimed with so many top ten list that it has been named the greatest anime of all time. Plus it's highly controversial, for instance many say that the reason for the End of Evangelion films was because of a huge outcry of fans over the end of the tv series. Death threats...DEATH THREATS were sent and the company's building was vandalized, I mean come on I know that episode 26 was a real mind fuck but death threats?! I get this same reaction when I found out that the Superman fans sent death threats to the writes that came up with the Big S's death. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe they didn't sent Hideaki Anno death threats about the end of the tv series. But they did sent him some. Well either way the movie itself has many different interpretations, right down to the ending which has fans discussing even to this day. I mean how hard is it to interpret,"Kimochi warui" anyway?

I hope the new films gets an English dub with the original cast, which would be something very hard to do, but Shinji said he would do it so maybe there's hope. Well hope you enjoy the comic, and my rantings. Till next time kiddies.

Well I finally made a logo, it's a little simple but I like it.

Now I placed links in this page again (placed them before but wasn't used at all anyway) because I have a new blogging page and also a deviant art account. The new blog is called Behind the Paradox and it'll be a sort of indicator on how I'm doing on the comics. Now I can easily use twitter to report how I'm progressing on the comics but I actually wanted to show my progress. That website will also include scraps of drawings that I do or will do about the comic, plus other things like photos of inspirations, or anything that will relate to The Gamer-Geek Paradox. Now why the deviantART page...

Well that page will sort of be like Behind the Paradox since it will also be updated at the same time but devART will have more drawings than Behind the Paradox. Like stuff from my art classes or other little things that I do. So for right now the new blogger site will be entirely devoted to The Gamer-Geek Paradox.

Finally there's the archive link that takes you to the hosting site where I placed the comics. Since my hard drive crashed I only have comic #6 in my new hard drive.I'll get the others from the hosting site, but they won't be psd files so in the end will be of lower quality..."but they always lower quality"...HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, SHUT UP! Ok first off I made a mistake in the comic. It's says phystar instead of psystar so my bad. I'll fix it as fast as I can.

So if you don't know what psystar is, well to sum it all up it seems to be a shady company trying to pass itself off as legit but sells franken-macs at a cheaper price then the real thing. That's not what makes them so weird but it's how they handle their business that really puts them on the hot spot. So one article on gizmodo that interest me was the customer service since it was funny that anyone would expect something great from psystar...

Anyways on to game related stuff, I got to rent Mario Kart Wii and it plays pretty well, handles more like the ds version which is a plus since I like the controls. But the only shit that still bugs me is the items. When your 4th and below you get some good items to use but, when your in 1st or 2nd it's always banana, green koopa shell, and if your lucky red shell or triple bananas. I mean what the fuck?!?! What's more nerve-wreaking is the fact that the computers don't hesitate to use them and you get these item combos of spiked shell, red shell, and followed by the enemy ramming into you to steal your place. I've lost so many times like this that it just give up after the first few beatings.

Speaking of gizmodo, this truth should be spread across many ignorant states until it burns in their skulls. Well I'm off...

The Return of Progress...

It is now Monday May 12, 12:40 A.M and at this point I have finished inking two of the three panels. If I keep going I should be done in a few hours and if not it should be at least be up by "today". For proof of the work I submit to you the picture of progress

If you look real close enough you'll see sakura pens. I used these pens for the smash bros comic and they work great but i had some trouble with them upon scanning the work...i mean i could see the freaking indents on the page! so now i try not to press so hard on the paper. So back to work...

So there's a bunch of reasons why I haven't updated since the smash bros comic. The comic that I have been working on was looking like shit to me, and well i'm self loathing, so figure it out. then my hard drive went fuck crazy ,and i had to replace it with a new one ,AND i didn't backup my data (because i didn't have a external hard drive but i didn't have enough money for it...i know excuses excuses but i'm bitching as it is so...)

Besides those points, i don't want to stop making comics so i'll try to have one out by next monday and if it turns out great then i'll keep releasing them on a weekly basis instead of the mon,wed,fri goals i set myself (too high for me as of this moment). If i can't make the release by monday then well i guess i need more time. So right now I'll leave this picture that i made today, it was inked with a Copic maker.

Well hopefully I'll post something up on monday, I'll keep updating my twitter. Another thing is that i'll probably start to update my 1up page and any other page i made an account on...(i seriously lost count, meh it'll probably just do the 1up page).

Man, I am so freaking tired...well you can plainly see that i haven't put the new comic up yet and well homework always comes first, not to mention ps is acting all stupid on me (yes programs can get dumb, it's a known fact). Wow, since last October i haven't posted anything up. Well anyways I'm finishing up the comic but for right now (5pm, in as i'm writing this entry) i'm gonna put it on hold until later tonight, since i have to finish up my homework for tomorrow. The Motive

Okay so my comic is finally up after two weeks or so of laziness. I had one tough night trying to finish it since I was also working on my art project for my digital art class. So I had to finish that first. By Saturday a new comic should be up (hopefully...*sighs*)

Something very important that should be noted is that today's comic is very similar to this one. He beat me to the punch...because of my dumb lazy ass. But today's comic is acutally a three part story so I hope the end result will be at least funny enough to impress.

Well yesterday really sucked in so many ways, but also had some ups that didn't make me start bursting in pathetic tears. I went to the dentist today and I had to get a deep cleaning, which was the lowest point of my day. The "doctor" came in and injected the shit out of my mouth. He went completely beserk, so much that I started to gag on the syrum that he accidently sprayed in my mouth. He didn't even do the actual procedure of cleaning my mouth, he was just there to inject me with that shit. And just before that whole fiassco happened, I saw the nurses calming him down about something, so when I saw him coming my way, well it was game over.

After the excruciating process, I had absolutely no feeling in my mouth, and I was very very hungry. I hate the dentist...

1up just released news on a new Xbox360 package called the Elite Package. What it is, really is a black Xbox360 with a greater storage device on top. It dosen't (and I repeat DOSEN'T HAVE) a HD DVD Drive. So yeah... That is just complete nonsense releasing that, I mean it's a great choice (I'm being completely serious) if you haven't gotten a 360 but if do just wait till they realease the 120 GB hard drive. They should have at least try to put the HD DVD drive on it, so then the title Elite would have more merit. They should've just called it the "Black Edition","Special Edition" or something else that would make more sense. But I'll tell you this, the first Xbox fan to get that system is going to jump for joy and proclaim that it was good investment in their part, and announce it all over the internet...*sigh* To see an actual screenshot of the system with the black controller and more info click here

I would first like to apologize for my absence, but it has been a really fucked up week for me...

Anyway, this comic (which was supposed to be released last week...go figure...) actually happened to me last week. I was using Vista Basic at a Radio Shack and I didn't really know how to make the "gadgets come out". One of them came up to me and asked, "Can I help you with anything sir?", now you have to look at the keyword, ANYTHING. He didn't help me with shit...I even began to explain about the OSX widgets feature and all he gave me was a really dumb look on his face...I hate my generation...

I mean, COME FUCKING ON! why ask me that if you can't help me at all? I should have asked him about the computer just to see if he at least knew that. I didn't even want fucking Windows and the stupid puppet didn't even try to sound like he knew something about it!

Apparently in Europe it's Samus's 20th birthday. Didn't the first Metroid come out in 88 for them? They still got another year to wait, right? In fact, isn't Samus true 20th birthday in 06 and in the U.S Samus' 20th is this year? I really don't know, but hey who cares? HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAMUS!

Well I was off by a few hours (24 actually) when I said that it would have been posted on Friday morning. Well at least you can enjoy the Saturday morning cartoon right in the comfort of you fat cozy polyfiber chair!.

This comic was just the blog from last thursday but in picture form, so to speak. Oh and just another addition to the rant, if you call it a free channel why do I still have to pay 40 bucks a month to see it, DirecTV? Just call it channel 101 that sometimes has shit other times it just dissappears and get rid of the crazy theory that it's a free channel

My blue furry friend has been everywhere lately hasn't he? First in Kikizo where producer Yojiro Ogawa was interviewed on Sonic and the Secret Rings and the question on next-gen Sonic the Hedgehog's problems.(glithces,other stuff...) Then he came out on 1up's "Hit Reset:How Sega Can Save Sonic the Hedgehog" to show what can be done to revieve Sonic's former glory. Finally he came out in PA where Tycho gave his thoughts on the topic.

I really can't give a comment on that because I'll just be ignored at because I'm a "Sonic Fanboy..." but all the points in Hit Reset are very true. (Except for calling me lame about the drawings...words hurt Mr. Parish...*sniff*) Anywho, one point that I want to really mention is the time one. I would actually wait for a Sonic game for 5 years than a Sonic game that's coming out every two...and the fact that they were under pressure must really suck. But why try to put it out on Christmas if you're gonna experience problems? Think about this, if you instead choose to make one game in a long time, instead of several then in that time you can make that one little game better than all the several games put together. Well hopefully everything will work out

Well I worked these past two days on it and I hope you guys enjoyed it. I'll post this baby up on Myspace and 1up to get the party started (er so to speak...)

Not much summary about the comic though since it is an intro after all. I went through two drafts trying to figure out if the 2nd panel and 3rd panel would stay. They didn't, and that's because I realized that the 3rd panel (the whole comic I should say) had nothing to do with video games and that's how I wanted to start it.

Now that I made the first one, the second one will be ready by Friday...I hope...I'll start to think of ideas today, make the draft tomorrow, and finish up by the end of that day so it could come out on Friday morning.

Yes, every person who has devoted themselves to the electronic entertainment culture can easily identify the worthless gut wrenching, pathetic excuse of a award show that is or was the Video Game Awards. For the many of you out there who think that I am wrong, that the VGA was a glorifiying event that compares to the Oscars and Academy Awards I say this to you. Stop your dellisions of merryment and see it for what it truly brought to the world. I hated every minute and I have never heard myself yelling at the t.v for so long. Cursing on and on, like a football fan in the final quater or something (damn that joke was lame...)

But I digress, this isn't about that show, I pretty much now want to state out that I grew a real distaste for video game shows. Some if not all those shows do something in paticular that piss me off. I don't know what quite yet, but I can't see them that seriously. Unless it was a REAL show with the REALNESS that I want to see. Anyway this is about the DirecTV Championship Gaming Invintational and even though it felt weird watching a bunch of hot chicks and computer geeks at the same time, in the same channel, right next to each other, I can say that it was pretty interesting. There were many strong points to this tournement and a lot of really weak points. The one strong point is that it is in fact what it was said to be...a tournament. A shiny tournament, but a tournament still. You see contestants' emotions rise and fall and soon it became the best part of the show. Their "I don't care if you won, I'm still cool..." faces, not to mention the empty "Your and asshole" smiles, (who can forget those) brought joy and much happiness to my sad day.

*sighs*

Now you see the games that the contestants play and you start to think, well there's DOA4, Project Gotham Racing 3, Quake 4, Halo 2, Counterstrike...there's nothing but PC and Xbox360 games here?!?! Before you start to put your fanboy caps on, the whole thing was sponsered by Microsoft, IGN, Best Buy, uhh...Mountain Dew?...and Fox Interactive Media...yeah. So don't blame me, blame the sponseres dammit! Well my point is, everything was way overhyped...I mean, come on...the Mountain Dew trophy? Why? No seriously why? I was almost convinced until I saw what that thing was called. I hate product placement like that. It's bad enough that they were offering the shitty drinks for free but to make it into an ice sculpture and turn it into a trophy?!?! Okay, I'm done bitching now...

Well even after that, I'm still convinced that the show turned out great, they could try to get more partnerships to really get the party started, so let's hope they do...

One last thing, I started to re-do the webcomic so sorry about raising those hopes out there. I'll try to start posting updates on it with pictures to show the progress.

I've had this webcomic template for about a week and i'm still working on the actual pictures to put into the comic. I've made countless errors time after time. So either by this or next week (hopefully wednesday) the first webcomic will be up.

Well first off, this isn't about my ******. It's about the Wacom tablet. It's very difficult to use and takes a lot of freakin practice (note that I said difficult and not hard to still confuse you with Capt. Winky). It's hard for me to draw over my pictures with the brush and I know that there's other methods to put your pictures already inked, but I actually want it through the computer.

I put a sketch up of one of the characters, and please note that just because he looks deformed that that is the final look (like I said before it takes a lot of practice). More info on the next post.

Now there seems to be some compatibility issues with Vista and iTunes. As expected...Looprumors states that many of the problems are Graphic slow downs (Cover Flow), iTunes doesn't sync up with contacts and calenders, and so on. What's also there is that Bill Gates if pretty pissed at Apple because of their Vista upgrading claims. It can also be seen here.

Since December I've had a DS and thought about the Wi-Fi connection for a while. I ignored the whole thing in the end because I thought that I didn't had a wireless router, but it looks like I was wrong, as always.

Their method of establishing a connection is fair. It took me at least two hours to make a proper connection. Damn WEP...

I finally ordered the Wacom tablet and will get it in February, so that gives me a few more days to continue to work on my sketches for the characters. Kinda having trouble figuring out the names though. More on that later.

Still playing ZX and Jump Ulitimate Stars, not even finished with either one. Well actually, I am almost done with ZX, as I've said before, however in terms of actually unlocking everything the hard mode,being able to use the X biometal, and getting Omega; I still got a long way to go. And as for Jump, man don't even get me started with that game.

What a doozy...

Got Megaman ZX this weekend and it was really hard to put the thing down. Now I wasn't a pro at the game but I think I did a pretty damn good job (it was on easy...what?). But upon seeing what other people can do with the game I kinda felt like a wuss. Yeah, a freakin' wuss. I'm to the last boss and looking at the whole experience now, I realize that this would be the second Megaman game I actually finish. The first being X5, I have the first Zero but can pass it. It's fucking hard...there I said it. Tried the Gamecube Megaman Battle Network game, but all it got me was an ass kicking and a punch to my self-esteem(which is still moderately low, but what are you gonna do about it).

Now moving on to Jump Ultimate Stars. The gameplay is incredible, making for a great fighting game. If you have buddies, you'll have a Smash Bros. moment going on with the DS (granted you know how to connect to other DS systems without any mishaps). There are some slight problems with the game that does make it seem kinda boring once and a while. First off, most of the stages are pretty much the same with only a few alterations that actually make it more annoying than different. Another problem I got is that when you're hanging off a cliff you can't attack when getting up, but that's just a small pet peeve of the game. There's a crap load of features you can unlock by beating the game's story mode (very long) upgrading each character completely (there's about 300 characters to upgrade). Note that if you can't understand Japanese completely or can't find a walkthrough for this game, don't get it. Most of the story mode you have to beat the stages with certain goals, like event mode in Super Smash Bros. Melee. and that is the only way to unlock the characters completely.

More news on the webcomic thing. I'm drawing drafts on the characters and I'm still practicing on how they should look. I'm also hoping I can get a cheap wacom tablet so I can start to practice on the computer. Wish me luck on this thing!

Ok, back to reality...

I finally got the game that I have been waiting for. Technically it took five days to get to my house, five business days that is. In the real world however counting the fact that Sunday there is no mail, monday was a holiday, and that their week started on tuesday, I couldn't get it until wednesday. Maybe on Friday I'll give it a review maybe not, I don't know. Depends if I want to review games here on the Gamer-Geek Paradox. But that dosen't mean I can rave about it. It is freakin awesome, even though I know about a few of the characters (Dragonball, Bleach, Naruto...etc.).

Hopefully I can talk more about it tomorrow.

One last thing in this short blog, I may start a webcomic here if possible. It everything comes in order, I may have the first strip up by Feburary. Let you guys know more as time goes on.

I just finished seeing the entire Macworld Keynote Address and man 600 bucks for one of those bad puppies, plus the extra fees that'll you get from Cingular. Well, it actually is worth it so yeah maybe I will get one, that of course once my subcription with Verizon ends. I seriously have some mean inpatience when it comes to getting something. Anyway, contradicting what I said in my last post, Kudos Cingular. Kudos

Now I know I was supposed to blog about the Jump Ultimate Stars game today, but it hasn't arrived yet. I don't think I'll get it till tomorrow at the least. Uhh...

I can proudly say that I will be going to the Anime Expo in the Long Beach Convention Center. Proudly because I actually registered 5 months before the damn con. I have very little experiences in going to one of these since I only went to two different conventions. One being Wizard World and the other the Japan Expo. Both were great (especially the Japan Expo) and now the Anime Expo will be the third so, hopefully I have a good time...yeah...

If I get Jump Ulitimate Stars today(not) or tomorrow, I'll report back on Wednesday, if not I'll still bitch about it.

Moving on, FUCK CINGULAR!!! The same goes for my luck when picking electronics. Apple's new product (not the [apple sign]iTv) the iPhone kicks everything else out of competition. Even Cingular's own line of cell phones don't stand a damn chance. Pity too since the blackjack just came out. Built in mp3 player, the screen is wide and the video display is magnificent. Touch screen abilities that'll make a DS blush, internet, maps, and the ability to instantly listen to a voice mail without hearing the other 4 or 6. Just make you want to throw everything else huh?

That's all great but of course not everything in this world is perfect. It's draw is in the battery life, which has always been Apple's Achilles' heel, but this time they have made it at least a little better with this product. The iphone has a proximity sensor that will make the screen turn off when the iphone is held against your ear. So at least they're trying.

In other news, I'm currently awaiting the arrival for my new imported game Jump Ultimate Stars! i'll let you guys know how it turns out.

And finally, I am a huge Sonic the Hedgehog fan and have been since the first game came out. On Sonic's 10th anniversary, Sonic Adventure 2 came out and in Japan and some game stores here in the U.S a special booklet came out to commemorate the occasion. I never had a chance to get it but thanks to that lovable online store (ebay) I finally got my hands on it. The only thing that got me confused is that it's pretty small, and with the videos and photos on the web I had the idea it was at least taller than a DVD case. But I digress, it's great to have and I will never regret it.

Sorry about the no posting on Monday thing. And the fact that I'm also a little late for this post as well, but...ah never mind.

Anywho, I finally got to play some of the Gamecube version of the Legend of Zelda Twilight and I am so pised that I can't get it...because IT'S FUCKING SOLD OUT!!! In every store I go to they don't have it. Those bastards. I got to also play (finally and completely) a demo of the Wii version. To put it simply, it dosen't matter what version you come to obtain either way you have one hell of an experience but if you have both versions, well you don't need my advice.

Now when it comes to which version is better, that I can't say since I haven't played both versions completely, but Scott does have a point.

For anybody who actually reads my blog, my apologizes for the late entry.

Anyway, so I went to get my glasses today, and when I showed them to my sister a small burst of laughter came from her mouth. I asked what the hell was so funny and it took a while for her to tell me that with the glasses I actually look like a dork. Well all I can say is that I finally look the damn part.

Well, this whole week was some kind of hell because I dropped my winter class and it wasn't because the teacher posed some kind of threat or scared the shit out of me because of his introduction but because I realized that I don't have that much money left in my account so decided to wait till spring to start my educational path. Besides, beginning psychology, what is that honestly?

Finally in this short blog, I posted up a drawing (half-assed drawing...) of Legendz character Ken Kazaki, enjoy!

To the new year, I got a brand new wanting list for 07. The top always being that Wacom tablet, but along with that list is Pokemon Diamond. I've seen the videos and the reviews and what's new for the franchise and I got to say, I really can't wait for this to come out in the spring. So much that importing is becoming a choice for me. Except for the fact that it's entirely in Japanese (nothing classes and a web strategy translation of the game can't fix) 50 bucks plus shipping is looking like pennies to me right about now. I'm not rich but I really don't care that much about getting that game in my hands right about now...

But I digress...because nobody is paying any attention to me...*tear*...

07 also marks the year of Apple's greatest promise of all time (or so it seems). The new OS comes out, iPhone, a rumored Macbook Pro with 12 inch screen, and so much more is expected to arrive sooner or later. I'm not calling them out or anything, but all I'm saying is that I hope they show something at the least.

Well like I said I'll try to get that cheap Wacom tablet to start showing drawings or even make a crappy webcomic of my own, if not then I'll just post them up like that. On Wednesday, I'll put a Sonic the Hedgehog pic either way.

Games aligned in shelves like if it was an actual game store. Nearly every great console there imported, or not. I was in a most heavenly place indeed.

Now, normally there would be something there that wouldn't make it so, and in doing so I checked to really make sure if paradise was in fact true. There are about two things wrong with that store:

The manager: didn't seem like Willy Wonka when I walked in the store and me being over zealous I asked if they were hiring, which was a yes because I saw about two people in there working. I got an application and asked for a pen, then I was told by him that I can't fill it there that I must take it home and bring it back. Now, he didn't say it in such a rude way, but the people I was with go there a lot and they said that he can be a real dick. So that's one, now the other thing that disturbs me about the store is...

THE PRICES!!!:They are off the roof prices for some of these games. It makes sense why some are so over priced, but 60 bucks for Mario Kart DS? I got this for 37 dollars at a gamestop nearby after I saw it. They also had (I don't know if I should say this but...) Marvel vs. Capcom going at 100 dollars. I know it's valuable but the trade in value is 20 bucks at the least, which kinda pissed me off.

All in all, the store did have some games that you really can't find anywhere else, like some used Dreamcast games in good condition, and other games that I've been trying to look for for years. When it comes to the old games and the feeling of nostalgia with posters of anime characters and playable games, that store is the best. But when you want to buy imported games for new systems, better stick to play-asia...(yeah I know I could have used something else as an example for an importer, but I didn't want to...)

So I was at gamestop the other day (stop me if you know this one...) and they had Zelda at the Wii kiosk. Me going, "i can finally play Zelda at the wii and not excite truck! yippee!!!" however the batteries in the controller were running low, so the experience was less than fun. About every 2 seconds the game would stop and tell me that the batteries were too low to play but to press A to acknowledge the fucking problem. All cursing aside, I played the game for a good five minutes before giving up, what made me give up? A child telling my dumb ass that I need to aim the controller at the sensor (which I was so no wise cracks). Once I corrected the prick about the battery problem, he told me (I'm still talking about the boy) to tell one of the workers to put new batteries in them. So I walked up to the counter and gave the controllers to the manager and walked away. Sigh I had to go to work, if not I would've actually told him to put batteries in the stupid controller.

If there's one place that I had the most trouble in, it would have to be game and electronic stores. They never have what I want, or they would ignore me or worse point me in the wrong direction. I guess it's really not their fault anyway, I mean they do work in a place where it's easy to get annoyed at customers, ignorant assholly customers.

Now that I have a DS lite, I can chill for a while (being a gamer, that's three days) until I crave for something else. On the top of the newly reinstated list is a Wacom tablet. Now I can aim for the stars, but getting there is going to be a doozy (bitch for those who don't understand doozy). I guess I can aim low and go for a Graphire Tablet and save up for the sweet, sweet Cintiq

I'm pretty sure I got the Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess for the GC from my sister for Christmas, and if I did I'll try to post my review (so to speak).

Today being Christmas Eve, I get to open my presents (about two) around twelve, which is roughly about six hours from now. I got my family nearly everything they asked me for, and I don't know why I did it. I didn't have any regret upon sliding my card for the ten time buying my sister a game for her DS, or my other sister a Jack Skellington doll and pillow. That's another thing that pisses me off, aahs! (I don't know how to really spell, but the idea is that it's a hot topic and a spencer gifts put together) is fuckin expensive. I'm trying to find out the exact price of the Monopoly game, the Nintendo Edition and over there it's about 40 bucks. The doll was 24 dollars and they even had a PS3 (one and only one) that cost roughly 1200 smack a' roos (I always wanted to type that...)

One more thing before I leave, how long do you think the PS3 "play beyond" commercials are gonna last? It's starting to change a bit with the release of Resistance:Fall of Man, so I think that by January of Feb, will have a brand spankin new PS3 commercial.

Speaking of DOA...

Nothing to talk about but this...

I didn't get to play much new DOA games like DOA 4, or the sequel to the "titular game DOAX", DOA Xtreme 2. The second and third installments of the original DOA franchise I did play and they were pretty solid fighters, nothing exciting except the graphics (DC and Xbox versions). So when I was on gamevideos.com, because I have no life, I saw the hidden bonus content from the DOAX2 game, pole dancing. At least I think it's a bonus content, like I said I never played the game but the fact of the matter is that there is such a thing as pole dancing in the game. Upon seeing this I quickly (two weeks later) went to youtube to see the evidence that this was not the trick of a super geek that did this in the comfort of his/her bachlor pad/mom's house.

Well, due to much viewing (Damn, Kasumi...fuck...) I got to see the babes pole dance their way to the hearts of many, many young teenage males, and one or two lesbians. Man, I got to tell you though, the comments were freakin' hilarious.

There were a few comments though that pointed out something. The series will now have people looking at the characters in a different way, but I seriously doubt that the game will lose attention. So what if DOA has become the easiest way to watch softcore pornography, it doesn't make it any less of a great game right? right? If you want to see the video you guys do it on your own time, because I'm not.

A few more things before I stop my routine bitching. One, if they were going to pole dance why couldn't they dance to different songs or better yet, different dancing patterns? Two, if this game made this peep show into a bonus easter egg, I can't wait to see what they do next!

Christmas is only a few days away and trying to find something good to enjoy until then is hard. Doing a secret santa is not the way to enjoy your time, and it's not because you have to buy something for someone, it's the fact that the present itself will or won't be the perfect gift for that person. I got my cousin and me being the gamer that I am I went to Gamecrazy to get him his gift. I went just to look because at that moment I didn't have enough money to buy him a present, but something caught my eye...Phantasy Star Online for the Dreamcast!

Normally I would stay away from used games because they're usually scratched like a Xbox360 game disc at launch (ZING!!!), but it was a 3 for 10 sale and I couldn't resist. All three of the games that I picked are for the Dreamcast and they're pretty cool even though the didn't have DOA...mmmmmmm...Kasumi... Uh, anyway these are the three games

Daytona USA:Remember this game? Well if not how about "Daaaayyyyytooonnnaaaaa!" No? Well either way it's a okay game (being worth less than ten bucks it's an okay game). It's essentially a port from the arcade version and because Sega.net shutdown you can't use the online feature (plus I don't use dial up anymore and I don't have a broadband adapter for it...) but who uses the online features of a used game anyways? *ahem* moving on...

Ready 2 Rumble:Couldn't get the fighting chick game where the bounce of boobies was dependent on the age of the player, so... I got this instead. I don't like putting my faith on Midway or Acclaim (after what happened to the game Trickstyle) but R2R is really fun even in single player. Can't get the rumble thing yet, but I just got it yesterday, so I'll figure it out

Phantasy Star Online:I know that most of you are thinking that I'm pretty retarded for getting a used PSO game especially for the DC, but your right. When I uploaded the disc, I was made to give the serial number of the game and the access key to play. Being a game store used game, it had no serial or access number at all so I was stuck for about five minutes. Thanks to Neoseeker.com forums I was able to locate the numbers to play, offline of course. Hopefully when I get enough money I'll buy Phantasy Star Universe.

Nothing really to report right now since yeah, I didn't do anything today.

When reserving the Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess for the GC (this was about a good two years back) I had hoped to receive it a few months later, however instead of the game I got a phone call telling me that the Legend of Zelda will be pushed back a year (those lying sons of bitches...). I said to myself, "Well that's good because I can buy the game when Kingdom Hearts II comes out (I had also reserved that one, but with little worry about it because I really wanted...ZELDA!). Oh I guess it'll all work out in the end, HAHAHAHAHA!" Today now that we stand here in late December nearing the end of 2006, the game that I have been waiting for, the game I actually had patience for even though I have very little or no patience at all came out a few days ago, and I didn't get it. I know I'm an idiot, but after Okami, Guitar Hero II, the DS Lite, the Wii, the virtual console, and so many great DS games came out, I kinda want something else now...those things. I still have the receipt with me and could go get it anytime I want (well actually I only have a few days I guess) but I much rather jump in to the next gen and get myself a DS lite or a Wii.

If I would buy it I would get also Sonic the Hedgehog for the GBA since I'm a sonic freak and that's pretty much it. If it comes down to it I'll tell you all about it

Almost finished with my finals in the semester. Just need Japanese class, and then relaxation (in the form of work and getting yelled at for not joining in the holiday festivities...). Looks like I won't be getting anything for myself this Christmas, unless I count the cell phone but that's more of a necessity than an actual gift. I have a crap load of stuff that I want (it's crap to somebody else, not me!) the first of that giant list is a Wii, followed by a DS Lite. Why nintendo? well because it's cheaper (the games that is), you can do so much with the systems, and they look really cool for small little pieces of technogear. I hope all of you watchers out there are having a really fun time with your finals. And if you haven't gotten your finals yet, well more luck to ya!

As I'm typing this, I'm in the computer room at my college waiting for my one and only class of the day. I have a test you see and I don't want to miss out since next week is the final week of the semester. Well I was thinking to just check out some websites then go upstairs(I'm in the very bottom floor of the library, where the computer lab is located at) and study my little ass of. Little did I know, I forgot to take out all of my Japanese stuff from yesterday and replace them with my folder that has the sheets that I need to study. Not only that, I need a scantron sheet to take the test and they're only 25 cents at the store but still, I'm fucked. So now I have all my Japanese stuff and nothing but a calculator for today's class.

Moving on, you know what I really wonder is how many people actually watch and read my blog. Really, does anyone take a gander and read all the bs I have to say about the electronic world? Am I one geek to many? Meh, whatever. Hey who's ever watching this wish me luck in the test...

Well the last post didn't even have anything geeky or game related, but I digress I had a real shitty week. And it's getting shittier. Shitter, be a real word or not, because of my school semester is drawing to a close. I must say that my knowledge of the Japanese language has went from 0% to an astonishing 0.0000000000000000000001%, yay! If I keep it up, I might make it to 1% (such foolish dreams I make, but I can reach...hahahahahaha...okay I'll stop). Math, English is blah subjects so I won't put to much info out there except for Fast Food Nation...yeah watch the fuckin movie if you haven't read the book. Art is my major and along with Japanese, will be the classes I continue to take in my education journey.

After writing so much hatred and anger towards the PS3 (all the hatred mostly aimed at the launch) I finally got to play with the coveted system. Now I was impressed with the interface at the load up, but it's basically the PSP interface but much prettier (If you haven't seen it then think bigger but shinier). That's pretty much where the system accomplishes, the power of eye candy. The graphics are *drooling* amazing and even though I did play a crappy game, it was still worth playing just to see the characters in motion. Even watching my character die was a neat treat, one which I continued to do when I got bored. I got to also play a demo of NBA 2K7 and let me tell you that even though I'm not really into sports, there are some ugly ass mother fuckers in the NBA. I kid, I kid, but seriously the character models are *gags*; there was a player that looks like his eyeballs were going to come out of his skull but still had energy to sweat out Niagara Falls.

So disgusting...the gameplay is acceptable but the shooting still pisses me off, making offense tolerable, but defense is by far the game's worst element. I played against Miami Heat which were playing like the Harlem Globetrotters(or this season's Clippers...am I right men? HAHAHAHAHA...) which slaughtered me into shame. I was lucky it was a five minute game or else they would have reached a 100 to 2 win. Now when I call the game acceptable (at least the demo, I haven't played the full version yet) I mean that the game would be fun with a buddy or two, which has always been the true ideal of a sports game. Screw that, I'll wait for NBA Street Vol. 4

man, the thanksgiving part (eating, talking, ffxii) was easy but waking up early in the morning and then having to go to work at 5 am for the after thanksgiving sales, wow. I've never been to one and still don't know the stress of trying to find the thing that is most desired, but I do know how it feels to be the guy who has to check in the back to see if "there are any more". The line outside the store was just massive (I mean the line to enter the store) but to actually purchase what was in your claws at the time you would have to wait another line that spanned through out nearly the entire store. All hell went loose when a particular item (and this happens a lot apparently) was selling out like PS3s...(sorry I needed a game reference) but unlike the PS3, there were more "out in the back" well not forever. Let me put it this way since I compared it to a coveted system, I didn't even have time to put it in the shelf or other times I would, return and find the shelves empty. Needless to say, we had to fill the shelves with something else because they were all sold out. Ah, the glory of working for minimum wage, hey at least I'm getting money.

I'm not saying go to Play Asia just to join the affiliate program, nor do I want to give the impression that it's a crappy website that lures idiots into joining something, no, what I'm saying is that they have really cool stuff there that you guys should really check out. I mean since Lik-Sang was shut down by Sony, Play Asia is probably the only way to get imported games, where else can you find the new Jump Ultimate Stars game? Plus it's free, so yeah...

In other news, hmmm let's see, oh yeah the shooting in Connecticut. Man, that's just increadible that someone would actually go to the level of murder for a box that catches on fire when put in a carpet. Wii had fun at art class today...get it?

So we had to work with charcoal in my art class on wednesday, and I did this sketch as fast as I could before the teacher gave us an assignment to do. I only did two sketches of the shapes he wanted us to do, but I'll work on it later. Uh, man my first semester is almost over but fuck, why the hell is it that a school's website post bullshit that you check your grades and GPA online, when it's nothing but blank lines? But I digress, if I pass art class, which hopefully I will, then I get to go on to life drawing...yeah...ahem. If any of you out there have some advice for a good CSU that has a good Art program, let me know.

Well the reason I put that witty "wii" in the title of the post *throws up from shame* is because I cannot get enough of that damn thing. I had never used it till wednesday, so until then my perspective of it came from other people on the web. Let me just tell you that the system was just increadible, and I was playing Excite Truck a game which I thought wouldn't "excite" me. Boy was I fucking wrong. Instant note here, I don't want to hear any fanboys bitching to me that nintendo sucks and that sony is better or microsoft rules, fuck you. Yes, I wanted to get a PS3 too, but I'm not a rich so I go with what's cheaper. It is the cheapest system out there and it even comes bundled with a game that could keep you entertained for about two to four weeks(depending on your impatience for new titles).

Oh yeah speaking of next gen systems, did you guys check the price tags on those PS3 on eBay? 4k can buy a lot of shit but hey the shipping is free, right? Unless the bastard want more cash up his or her ass. Just think at the poor sad truth that the long ass line that has formed at your local Best Buy right now, only a few will be playing or selling the PS3 the next morning...
